Product Brochure: Duroflex

Duroflex is a leading brand of mattresses in India having well located manufacturing and marketing operations.
They are also the largest Indian exporter of sleep and comfort products.
Their request was to design brochure for Export market.

How we went about designing these two brochures?

After initial discussion with the Managing Director, we spent 3 full days in their Hosur factory to understand the entire process of manufacturing.
Studied several brochures and web sites of their competitors and then wrote content for the brochure which was finalized in consultation with the Managing Director.
Later we spent 2 full days to shoot the entire process and infrastructure. Prior to shooting the entire factory and machinery was painted, cleaned and made suitable for photography.

Inside page content was organized as follows:

Page 2: Brief intro about the company, it’s founder and map of India showing manufacturing and marketing operations. Use of mattress background for map was well received by everyone.
Page3: Export information about the products and list of countries where the products are being exported. Notice the use of rubberized coir in the world map.

Page 4 & 5: Brief note on production process. More emphasis was given on images of available infrastructure, quality control and ISO Certification. Each image was retouched thoroughly after scanning to present the best image of the company.

Page 8: Picture of coconut grove was shown to re-emphasize the raw material. Other contents include list of various brands at a glance and the contact address.

We designed and printed 2000 copies of this brochure. As a result of this assignment, we were asked to do brochures for their domestic market, product brochure, and corporate web site and multimedia presentation. We were also asked to do a brochure and web site for their other business “Smiles99”.
